Bishop Jakes - Your Opposition is Your Opportunity

From Evernote:

Bishop Jakes - Your Opposition is Your Opportunity

(NET) John 7:1-15 After this Jesus traveled throughout Galilee. He stayed out of Judea because the Jewish leaders wanted to kill him.

...

:15 Then the Jewish leaders were astonished and said, "How does this man know so much when he has never had formal instruction?"

Your heart comes out of your mouth. How can someone blind see so good?

The whole world has turned its head to hear what you have to say. Do you have something to say, or not?

The communication challenge was one perspective said it was opposition, and the other said it was an opportunity.

As more people love you, more people hate you.

They hate Jesus in Judea- they wanted to kill him. It was dangerous. "it is not my time yet"

To speak at Judea is the greatest exposure, but there is a threat along with the opportunity. Success will taste stressful because your oportunities come wrapped in opposition.

You are most vulnerable to the people who are closest to you. You are no better than the people you have around you.

Take a risk. If it's going to happen, you have to make it happen. Sometimes you have to sneak up on success. Your mouth is too big for where you're trying to go. Hold your peace and let it happen.

God hid Moses in Pharoah's house. Used the man who wanted to kill him to bless him. God is masterful at hiding stuff.

God his his wealth where no one would expect to find it. He hid it in you.

Your answer is hidden in your house. People hire people as an answer to their need, not yours. Are you introducing yourself as an opposition or an opportunity.

Jesus has had a transformation in his thinking that was facilitated by his associations. They are feeding the feeder. Whoever has his ear rules the roost.

Am I seeing this opportunity as an opposition? The Father has hidden my opportunity as an opposition and it took someone around me to challenge the way I was perceiving this situation.

They were looking for him, and he walked right past them. He seized the opportunity because he was no longer looking at it as an opposition.

Jesus at the close of the text is standing on the stage of his enemies.

God knew that the rag and the rock couldn't kill Goliath. God put David's sword in Goliath's holster. "I wil give you houses that you didn't build."

This Sunday is for the dreamers. Is this an opposition or an opportunity. Your dream will cost you something.
