1. You cannot allow what you don't know to change what you Joe to be true.

Regardless of what you experience, God's word is the truth. We have a performance based mentality.

People have rejection and abandonment issues.

Disappointment comes, it's how we deal with it that matters. It will cause you to question everything you believe.

Romans 5:1

Given a right standing with God- we have peace with God, reconciled and forgiven. Regardless of whatever else is going on in your life. You may not feel peace but you have it. Peace with God is not the same as Peace of God.

We question "Why me, God?" because we feel rejected and abandoned.

The love of God you can never earn. But the favor of God- the favor of God-

Vs2. Privilege of favor as his children.

Vs3. Be full of joy now... Knowing that pressure and patience produce unswerving endurance

- We have to learn to overcome.  

Vs4. Endurance, fortitude

Rom 16:17

Mark and avoid those that cause strife

Luke7:19

John baptized John; John asks if Jesus is he in his time of trial; Jesus healed for an hour; be not offended (distrust)

Disappointment will cause us to fall. away. We need instead to come closer.
